I’m Lacy Duffett, RN, BSN, IBCLC and owner of Happy Latch Lactation Co. I am a wife an mama to two beautiful little girls! I’d like to share a little info with you about the roots of my lactation practice.

After 3 years as a pediatric nurse, I switched gears and spent the 4th year of my nursing career working as a mother/baby nurse. During this time I began to notice the impact that good lactation support can have on a breastfeeding experience. Supporting, educating, and empowering new mothers quickly became the best part of my job and so began the start of a dream to someday have my own lactation practice!

I am well versed in oral function rehab and oral ties and have completed continuing education on managing low milk supply. I dealt with low supply, painful latch, and the need to combo feed and pump during my own breastfeeding experience, so these are things I strive to help other mothers with.

I offer in-home and virtual lactation consultations as well as prenatal breastfeeding education. My breastfeeding prep course, which you can find in the course section above, includes all of the things I wish I would have known as a pregnant mother planning to breastfeed! Some breastfeeding issues are more complex than others, and my goal is to always to get to the root cause of the issue so I can properly assist with getting feedings to an optimal place.

In my lactation practice I will meet you where you are at with your breastfeeding journey. We will work together to come up with a care plan to meet your personal goals. I will empower you to make informed decisions that work for you and your family and I will always remind you that YOU know your baby best!
